Governing Committee Member Application

WARP's Governing Committee is comprised of thirteen members who volunteer their service to represent insurers, insurance producers, labor, maritime employers and the state's Department of Labor & Industries (L&I).

A Governing Committee member typically serves a three year term but may be re-appointed for additional terms. When there is a vacany on the Committee, WARP seeks candidates from the respective interest group: insurer, insurance producer, organized labor or maritime employer. By rule, the L&I member has no term limit.

All Governing Committee members require appointment by the Insurance Commissioner. Individuals interested in serving on the Governing Committee must submit an application to the WARP Executive Director.

Governing Committee members may nominate one individual to serve as their alternate on the Committee. The same application and appointment process is used for a nominated alternate member.
